Advanced Dictionary&Thesaurus App Reviews

As another reviewer points out, when the changes include pushing nuisance ads on the screen, there is a chilling effect on the user. I am still on the older version. I love the simplicity of this app. And no thank you, I wont be upgrading it. I would have given 5 stars if it wasnt for the ads. Otherwise, this is an immensely useful app.

By now I own about 20 Electronic dictionaries, including the OED, and Merriam-Webster Third Intl. this one is most decidedly in the bottom of the heap. It offers nothing useful, and most of the links and synonyms etc. are truly from the left field. There are good dictionary-thesaurus combinations, such as MW, Oxford American Dıctıonary and they are better than adequate for college work.

Ive used this dictionary for the past 2 years, but I uninstalled it after the last update. As a matter of principle, when Developers deceive users in updates by not disclosing the addition of Advertising/iAds in the Changelog, I uninstall the app. When Developers are up front and put this in the Changelog, I KEEP the app.

I use to love this dictionary. Then I upgraded and now I get advertising. I will be looking for another dictionary.

I love it and dont see anything wrong with it! Works perfectly fine with me and comes in handy when I need it!

Why pay for a product and then be forced to see ads? Its embarrassing when you are sharing your iPad in a meeting.

Dont waste your time. Developers are scam artists.

If you want more than three or four synonyms for a word this is not the app for you. Yes its a dictionary but the app is also advertised as a thesaurus. It is to that functionality my comment is directed.

What is the point of am offline dictionary that you cant use offline?

This is the best dictionary ever. It is very easy to work with. Im glad I download it.

Excellent because it provides entomology, important in specific expression.

App keeps crashing on start up ... Cant get dictionary to open or load!

Guys believe me I found this dictionary app is helpful because I paid money for another dictionary app but it was useless . I will recommend this app for the students.
